For domestic customers, you just need a valid driving licence from your country. That means if you are British and picking up a car in Britain, you just need a British driving licence.

If you are from the EU and are picking up in the EU, you only need your country’s driving licence, except if your driving licence is not in latin script. If it is not in latin script then you need an International driver’s licence as well as your country’s driving licence.
